We offer a service where we can prepare medicines into a weekly Dosette Box.
A Dosette Box is a disposable plastic tray that separates medicines into individual compartments for different times of the day, for each day of the week.Each box contains a full week’s medication clearly labelled, with days and times to help you remember to take the correct medicines at the correct time of the day.
Our Dosette Box Service:
- boxes can be issued weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on the patient
- supports both patients and carers in clearly recognising which medications have been taken
- prevents medicine wastage and over dosage
Dosette Boxes are a great way to help manage your medicine but they aren’t always the best solution as not all medication will be suitable for a Dosette Box. Any prescription that’s instructed to be taken ‘prn’ or ‘when required’, such as medication for migraines, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, pain, anxiety or insomnia cannot be managed with a Dosette Box.
Some medicines may also not be ‘stable’ outside of their original packs, and transferring these types of medications into Dosette Box would risk them getting damaged or not working properly.
