Walk for your Health and Wellbeing
Walking is one of the easiest ways to improve your health and wellbeing. Regular walks can boost fitness, lift your mood and give you more energy.
Every Monday and Thursday there is a 30-minute free guided walk along Hartfield Forest Way, starting from Hartfield Station Car Park at 9.20am and enjoy a hot drink and a chat in the Parish Room after.
Friday Café is a free Dementia friendly café at Kings’ Hall Withyham for who anyone would like to socialise from any of the surrounding villages. It’s funded by donations and run by volunteers who meet once a month on the 2nd Friday of the month.
Tea, coffee and cake are served in the first half an hour with time to chat, followed by a memory provoking or craft activity for the next hour.
Withyham Parish Amblers
Withyham Parish Amblers meet once a month on Saturdays to enjoy gentle walks through the countryside. They explore various trails around the Parish, covering Groombridge, Blackham, Withyham, and St John’s. Group sizes vary from 10-40 people, and everyone is welcome to join. Walks coincide with the Community Café at Groombridge Village Hall, where you can enjoy a drink and a slice of cake at the end of the walk.
