Online Services

Online Services have been developed over the past few years and are designed to give you, the patient, more convenience, choice and flexibility in how and when you contact and interact with the Surgery.

Online Services are an extra option for those who wish to use them and will not replace other ways of contacting the practice such as by telephone or visiting us in person. By freeing up telephone lines it is hoped that patients who don’t have a smartphone or computer will find it easier to contact the practice.

SystmOnline

The traditional way to access online services is through a website called SystmOnline. This service is secure and password protected. Before using SystmOnline patients will need contact the practice to register.

SystmOnline allows you to do the following:
  • book or cancel appointments
  • order repeat prescriptions
  • view your online health record including information about your medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results.
  • change your address or contact details

NHS App

Many patients will have downloaded the NHS App during the COVID-19 pandemic to obtain their vaccination passport. However the NHS App now also provides a large range of services similar to SystmOnline. Patients can register for the NHS App for free by downloading it from the App Store or Google Play without needing to obtain a username or password from the surgery.

The NHS App allows you to:
  • get advice about coronavirus and book your COVID-19 vaccination
  • show details of your COVID-19 vaccines when travelling abroad
  • order repeat prescriptions
  • book appointments
  • book, view, or cancel your first hospital appointment if you have been referred through the NHS e-Referral Service.
  • get health advice and check your symptoms on hundreds of conditions and treatments
  • find NHS services nearby
  • choose your organ donation preferences
  • find out how the NHS uses your data – choose if data from your health records is shared for research and planning
  • view parts of your GP record
  • view test results
