Repeat Prescriptions

Please allow three clear working days between ordering your prescription and its collection. Providing we have your mobile number, once your prescription is ready for collection the Dispensary team will text you.

Groombridge and Hartfield Medical Group is a dispensing practice. This means that we are only able to dispense medication to patients who live more than one mile away (as the crow flies) from a chemist. If you live within one mile of a chemist you must get your medication from any chemist, but not the surgery dispensary.
These are NHS rules which we have to follow strictly. If you are unsure where your nearest chemist is, please visit – Find a Pharmacy and enter your postcode.

Repeat Prescriptions:
We cannot take prescriptions requests over the telephone or by email. These are NHS guidelines put in place to protect patients and reduce prescribing errors, so please do not try to order any other way then the following:

In person:
By putting a written request in the post box located on the wall inside Hartfield Surgery, next to the Dispensary. Or the secure outside letterbox. There is also a secure letterbox at Groombridge Surgery located on the garage wall. Please be aware this post box is only emptied once daily, Monday to Friday so allow additional time when collecting your prescription.

SystmOnline: Ordering online is the quickest, safest and easiest way for you to order your repeat prescriptions.
To access SystmOnline you will need to have an individual access and ID code. Please contact the Dispensary team, who will be happy to help you with this.

NHS App: Owned and run by the NHS, the NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. The NHS App can be downloaded from the App Store for iOS and Android phones.
