URGENT message for patients who received their 1st Covid vaccination at Saxonbury House Surgery between 19th – 25 March 2021.
We have been urgently contacted following the Government announcement on Friday 14th May 2021, and a change in JCVI and Government guidelines to bring forward 2nd dose appointments for anyone in Cohorts 1-9 (over 50’s and those who are clinically vulnerable) to 8 weeks after their 1st dose.
For those vaccinated on or before the 19th March at Saxonbury House you will have already or will shortly receive an invite from us to book your appointment for this week at Saxonbury House.
For everyone vaccinated at Saxonbury House between 22nd – 25th March you will receive an invitation to book an appointment for this week, even though you were given a date for June which you must now ignore.
Due to the critical response that has been requested directly from the Government, Saxonbury will be running clinics until 9.30pm. This step up in bringing appointments forward to 8 weeks is directly related to serious concerns about the risk that the Indian Covid variant poses.
Please do not contact Saxonbury or us about this, as telephone lines are precious for patients with medical concerns to be able to get through on. You will receive an invitation to book directly.
